I know I've been away for a while. I've had a lot going on, a lot to deal with recently. More importantly though is that, on top of my usual busy summer schedule, I have just started a third job. So now, on top of my regular 40 to 60 hour week, my weekend side jobs and my house work, I am also working as a Financial Consultant.
Needless to say, this tends to leave me with not a lot of time or energy. I do still try to work on things for here, indulge in fantasy from time to time, but I'm not going to be able to keep any sort of schedule.

Ah yes, summer. When my attractive cosplaying friends start posting pictures of themselves in bathing suits and revealing costumes, thus reminding me that I know a great many people who are very attractive, share a great many of my interests, passions and humor, and would never Ever have anything to do with me romantically.
Because I'm ugly.
Because I'm ugly.

I know it's been a while since I've made one of these, but I'm trying to get back into the habit. With the new role playing game starting to stabilize it is taking less of my time, and I just need one more delivery and I can finish my newest cosplay. Now if the heat would just break I can be all set, and maybe start making more captions. This is yet another comic from Loserz

Crime Doesn't Pay
This is another one of those ones that I had a fragment of an idea, but not the whole thing. It took me longer than I thought it would, but I finally worked out the rest. I've been in a very Korina Bliss sort of mood recently, too.

Stakes of the Game
So since I've been gone for so long, I'm trying to spend a bit of time making some captions for you all. I've got several images that have inspired bits of a story, but now I'm trying to fill out the details. As usual, I'm starting with simpler stories before trying to jump into anything really complex, but hopefully you'll still enjoy them.
This is one of those simpler stories, meant more as a bit of fluff and fun. Once I saw this set, I knew where I wanted the story to go, I just wasn't sure how to get there. Hopefully it came out ok.

No, I'm not dead or gone, but between ten hour days in high heat, running my role play and working on my cosplay, I've not had the time or energy to make any new captions. The good news is that the heat is supposed to break, and I'm hoping to have the last piece of my costume done by this weekend or the next, so I should have time once more. This is very exciting for me, because I've not made a new costume in about five years now, so I'm really looking forward to having something new. And it is just in time for the 25th anniversary of Otakon. So I really have to go all out on this and make it the best I possibly can (which is, admittedly, mediocre compared to what other people do, but I still have to try).

Weekly Comic 5/3/13
I know it's been a while since I've done anything new around here. I've been dealing with a lot lately, plus I've been focusing on getting my RPG up and running (things are getting started, we already have a few characters and missions will be starting soon, so if you are interested check the link on the right!). So I've got another multi-panel comic today. This one comes from a manga, so I can't provide you with a website. The only name I've seen it under is I Cup, and I've never even found a translated version (If you know where to find one, let me know). I hope you enjoy.

Ready for Business!
I am pleased to announce that my super hero RPG is now ready for play!
There is some cosmetic work left, and I may need to tweak the system should problems develop, but everything that is necessary for play is ready to go. You can find it the link below:
http://angelsgame.hyperboards.com/
Anyone who is interested in playing is welcome to come and start creating a character. There is no limit to how many people can join, so feel free to invite your friends or anyone you know who may be interested. The more the merrier!
If you enjoy the game and want to help out, consider donating a month's worth of ad-free. It is only 7 dollars, and it will help me to keep the game going. Want to help but don't have any money to spare? There are plenty of other ways. You can create and run a mission. Good with graphics? Then why not make a logo, or new backgrounds, or help other players with avatars or signature banners. You can add helpful information to the Useful Links section. Be creative! What you get out of the game will be wholly dependent on what you put in to it.
I hope to see you all there!

I've decided to use Hyperboards to host the new RPG. It's reliable and trustworthy. I'll cover the monthly costs, as long as people are interested in playing. Though I will ask that, if players are enjoying the game, if they are able to do so players please donate to the upkeep. Just a little bit can help ease a lot of burden on me.

RPG Input
So I'm working on my new superhero RPG, and I wanted to get a little bit of feedback from the players in regards to a few elements. If you are interested in playing, please take a moment to read the questions and provide me with your thoughts. It will help me to make the game to suit the player's tastes.
The Winner
A while back I ran a little contest, with a caption as the prize. The winner was one Brandon Noble. Congratulations to you!
I wasn't able to work in your liking of mermaids, sorry. I just couldn't find any source material that inspired me. Still, I hope you enjoy your prize.

Someone pointed out to me that I wasn't very clear about my RPG idea. It made sense in my head, but I didn't get it all out on paper, so to speak.
The campaign idea is that each player will be playing an ordinary guy (it could be based on themselves, or it could be someone they create). They are chosen and contacted by a "higher being" of some sort, who has decided they would be suitable as a hero. They are given the ability to transform into a hero from popular culture (in this case, the "theme" would be comic book heroes like Superman and Batman). However, the form chosen is always one of the attractive female characters. Thus the guy gains that heroine's appearance, powers, weaknesses and outfit when they take on their heroic form, but they are not becoming that heroine. Their mind remains their own. So they are still ordinary guys, only now they can become extraordinary girls.

So, in my campaign to remain positive, I've been trying to focus on things that I enjoy. So I've been spending a lot of time thinking about the superhero campaign. The more I think about it, the more I'd really like to try the second one. I've come up with a first villain, which should be a lot of fun to go up against. There are a few decisions that I'd want to discuss with the players first, though. Things such as limitations and character choices (ie, should we stick to just one universe such as DC comics, or allow all? What about multiple variations of the same character, like classic Wonder Woman and Justice League Wonder Woman?) But, overall, if I can get some players, I'd be more than happy to set up the game. I'd like to have at least five to start with. So if you are interested, be sure to let me know. And feel free to invite others as well, if you know anyone who might be.
Now, I just need to decide if I want my own character to become Power Girl or Wonder Woman. It's hard to argue with having all of Superman's powers wrapped up in a bombshell blonde body. But then again, Wonder Woman is a strong choice too because, well, Lynda Carter...

So I started watching Justice League today, and it got me in the mood for my old TG superhero campaign. I thought I'd see about possibly resurrecting it.
I have two basic ways of doing it. One, is to use the Mutants and Masterminds rule book, and create a proper role playing campaign. The other, simpler, version is to use an AMBER system with pre-existing superheroes. For those not familiar, an AMBER style game is one with no dice rolls or similar device. The players choose what they wish to do, and the game master makes a determination of whether or not it is possible. While I've never been overly fond of such systems, they are much more convenient for online play.
I haven't thought into it too much, but the basic premise would be
1. (For the mutants and masterminds campaign) each player would start as male (or female, if someone wishes to go that route), but would in the course of receiving their power be transformed into the opposite sex. Each player would come up with their own backstory, as well as design their own powers and character based on the rules of Mutants and Masterminds. The system is fairly diverse, and can create a version of just about any hero you could name. It also includes some helpful templates for getting started.
Or
2. (For the AMBER system) Each player would start as male. The setting would be modern day, real world Earth. However, due to some threat of some sort, certain people are chosen by a "higher being" of some sort to become champions and protectors. They are given the power to take on the form of a fictional character, complete with all abilities. Thus, each player during character creation will choose which character the "higher being" chooses for them to become. However, the "higher being" is kind of a perv, and therefor only chooses sexy female forms for the heroes. By using pre-existing forms, their abilities and weaknesses are already established, so an AMBER system should be viable.
Of course, being me, both of these campaigns would end up being X-rated. If we can get enough players, I would be willing to set up a game. What's more, is that it can be set up as a "mission based" system, instead of a "story based" system. Meaning that instead of all players following one story line throughout the entire campaign, it is instead broken up into smaller arcs. Thus, if you won't be around, you can have your character not take part in a mission and the game does not suffer. It also means that players can come up with their own missions, and be allowed to run them as acting game masters. Keeps game play fresh and innovative. In short, think of it in terms of tv shows. Some shows have one single story that all episodes work towards. But others have individual plots for each episode, with only loose connections between them. Miss one episode and you won't be lost when the next one starts.
Any thoughts? Any interest at all?

Exam Update
Alright, the exam is now over. I had to be at the testing site by 7:15 am in order to go through security and be admitted. Then the first half of the exam started at 8. I did the best I could with it. Overall, there were some problems I just didn't know and had to guess at, but much of it I was able to handle. It took me about two hours to complete, then I had a break till 1:15. We reconvened, went through security again, then started taking the second half at 1:45. The second half was definitely rougher. The questions were harder in general, and covered a lot of subjects that are only loosely (or, in at least 1 case not in the least bit) related to my field. I did the best I could with it, but I'm not as confident. Took me about 2 and half hours to complete, then I got to leave. With travel time, I was home about a half hour before the exam ended.
Now all I can do is wait for the results.

Singles Event Contest Results
Alright, so I went to the Cosplay Singles event last night. Everybody loved me. I was very popular, I got a lot of people who wanted a picture or to talk to me. After the speed dating, everyone I spoke to wanted to meet me and keep talking. I was loved so much that they demanded I be auctioned off as part of the Cosplay Auction, even though I had not signed up for it, where I was bought for a quite large sum.
HA! Like that would ever happen.
Stupid me, I arrived thinking that at a Singles event people would actually be, you know, single. But, as always, I was the only one who was there that wasn't part of a pre-existing clique. And no one was interested in letting me join in, even the people I've met at other events. So for much of the event I sat alone, drinking over priced scotch. And not even my favorite brand of scotch either. During the speed dating, I know for a fact that at least two of the people I talked to were already in a relationship, and one of them was only not in a relationship because the person they were interested in kept turning them down. It wasn't a complete lie when I said people wanted to continue our conversation, though. Most of the people I talked to did say they wanted to meet up after to keep talking without the time limit.
None of them did.
And it is not like I am hard to find. Even amongst other cosplayers I do a good job of standing out. People just didn't want to talk to me.
So, that puts the total number of rejections from the event up to 17 (less if you remove the people I know were in a relationship, but more if you count the people who weren't part of the speed dating part but who didn't want to talk to me when I tried). Either way you count it, that makes our contest winner Brandon Noble, who came the closest with only being twelve fewer than actual. Brandon, if you please send me your caption preferences (or if you are on Rachel's Haven, just point me to your profile) I will start working on your prize next week, after my exam is finished.

Contest
Alright folks, there is a singles event coming up on sunday for me. So it's time for a contest. Whoever comes closest to correctly guessing how many times I get shot down will get to star in a caption of their very own. Keep in mind, whoever picks a number first will get the prize, so you'll want to take one that hasn't been guessed already. Also, I suggest that you don't comment anonymously so that I know who it is that won.
Please enter via the comments on this post, and please only one entry per person.

Shopping trip surprise
I made this one for cage71 on Rachel's Haven. I hope you all enjoy it.
A little bit of background on this one. The idea came from something of a twist on an old cliche. In many caps, you often find a character who is a militant feminist, transforming men for slights real and imagined. It occurred to me while thinking, though, that this doesn't seem to make much sense really. Yes, they are usually turning men into the kind of women they think men want (bimbo, slutty, etc), but they are still turning men into women as a punishment, which implies Being a woman is a form of punishment. There are ways to justify such a situation, but it still strikes me as a bit odd. Instead, I decided to take things in a different direction. Hence a militant Misogynist. One of those guys going on about what it is to be a "real man". I'm sure everyone has met someone like that at least once in their life. Real Men don't cry. Real Men play football and drink beer. Real Men treat women with no respect. Someone like that would certainly view being turned female as a punishment. And if he had the power to "punish" those who weren't living up to what a Real Man should be? Well, I think the result might just be something like this.

Story World
So I recently came up with an idea for a new story world,
and I thought I would share it here. It
is a modern day fantasy setting. The
basic premise is that there are two planes.
The one we know is the physical plane.
It is ruled by physical laws and order.
The opposing plane is the non-physical plane. There nothing has physical form, and all is
instead ruled by will, imagination and chaos.
There is a place, tiny cosmically speaking but still vast enough no one
has explored it all, where the two planes meet and the energies of both mingle
and merge.

Winners and Losers
I know I've used this image before, but this idea struck me while I was at work today. Since it has been a while since I've had any inspiration for a caption, I thought I'd go ahead and work it up. So, for any of you who actually still read this blog, here is my latest work for you to enjoy.

Would anybody care
If my time was up I wanna know
You were happy I was there
If I wasn't here tomorrow
Would anyone lose sleep
If I wasn't hard and hollow
Then maybe you would miss me
I know I'm a mess and I wanna be someone
Someone that I like better
I can never forget
So don't remind me of it forever
What if I just pulled myself together
Would it matter at all
What if I just try not to remember
Would it matter at all
All the chances that have passed me by
Would it matter if I gave it one more try
Would it matter at all
If I wasn't here tomorrow
Would anybody care
Still stuck inside this sorrow
I've got nothing and going nowhere
I know I'm a mess and I wanna be someone
Someone that I like better
I can never forget
So don't remind me of it forever
What if I just pulled myself together
Would it matter at all

Would it matter at all
All the chances that have passed me by
Would it matter if I gave it one more try
Would it matter at all
I know I'm a mess and I wanna be someone
Someone that I like better
Can you help me forget
Don't wanna feel like this forever...forever
What if I just pulled myself together
Would it matter at all
What if I just try not to remember
Would it matter at all
All the chances that have passed me by
Would it matter if I gave it one more try
If I live tomorrow
Would anybody care
Stuck in this sorrow
Going nowhere
All the chances that have passed me by
Would it matter if I gave it one more try
Would it matter at all

Guest Cap: Witness Protection
Since I'm not going to be able to make too many captions at the moment, I decided that I would go ahead and start putting up some guest captions so that there will at least be new things for people to read and enjoy here.
Today's Guest Cap comes from Caitlyn of Caitlyn's Masks. She's one of the top captioners out there, and I like to consider her a friend. The caption she made for me is called Witness Protection, and it is a wonderful example of her work.
If you like it, be sure to go to her page and leave a comment. The direct link to this caption on her page is here: Witness Protection by Caitlyn
Oddly enough, just about the time I got this, I was introduced to the show Burn Notice. If you've never watched it, think of it as a sort of modern re-imagining of Macguyver. It has some great lines, a good plot, and is surprisingly well researched. Most of their tricks and techniques would actually work. Though they do still fall into the "silencer" problem. (Silencers on guns do NOT actually make the gun silent like in the movies. What it does is difuse the sound, making it harder to tell where the shot came from. It is impossible to silence a gun, short of encasing it entirely in a completely airtight seal, at which point it can not fire.) I bring this up, because with this caption on my mind, it occurred to me that, with one little tweak to the intro, Burn Notice could actually become an excellent spy themed TG show or story. I'd simply have the line read like this:
When you're burned, you've got nothing: no cash, no credit, no job history. You're stuck in whatever body they decide to dump you in.
And voila, instant set up for a TG spy story. Of course I'd involve a lot of kinky situations and sexy bits, but it wouldn't be an Angel story without it. For a model, I'd probably use Denise Milani. She's sexy, she's extremely feminine which makes her good for a "punishment" sort of body, and she has lots of pictures in a variety of clothes, styles and poses.
Anyway, enough rambling. On to Caitlyn's Cap:

Weekly Comic 3/1/13
Alright, I know I'm a bit late with this one. I actually almost didn't make one at all, what with everything going on, on top of getting ready for my sister to visit. She'll be arriving later today, actually.
Anyway, here is the comic, I hope that you enjoy it. It comes from menage a 3 (menagea3.net). I actually don't like the comic much, but the artwork is fantastic. So I basically read it for use here. This one inspired me the moment I saw it. It was just too perfect not to use.
I actually ended up changing the dialogue both more and less than I had planned to. Originally I had thought to just alter the opening panel to reference the change, but leave the rest mostly the same. However, I just couldn't quite get the feeling I wanted, so I started altering it more. Then I ended up running out of space in the word balloon, and couldn't fit it in. So I was left having to do something about halfway in between the two. I was going to add in a bit about how the change made one into what one's ideal girl would look like. So if you liked blondes, you'd be a blonde, if you liked tomboys, you'd be a tomboy. I had to cut that part of the story out, though. So it ended up being a situation where the why and the how are left to the reader to imagine. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I did try playing with the fonts a bit, though. I was trying to give a visual representation of the characters vocal mannerisms. That one was very feminine, while the other was still somewhat masculine.
Head's up everyone. As I've mentioned before, I'll be taking part of the examination to get my license in April. Even though I was not allowed to sit for the full exam, this is still going to be a long and difficult test. As such, much of my time from here on out is going to be dedicated to preparing for it. So, until April, things here are going to be quite slow. I'll try not to abandon the blog completely, but between my current mood, lack of inspiration, and the exam, I can't promise how much, if any, that I will be doing.

Kink of the Day
Alright, I know I just posted one of these, but this one is a little bit different from my normal KotD posts. Instead of being a person I'd like to be, this is about a type of situation. For super bonus points, combine this KotD with one of my model based KotD posts.
Today's Kink:
Involuntary Self Participation!
In this type of situation, the victim is forced to actively participate in his own transformation or feminization. Either he is controlled, blackmailed, physically forced, or through some other means, the victim must take a direct role in his own change. This is not the same as someone deliberately changing because they want to. They most certainly don't want it, but must still go through with it. Perhaps he is forced to design his new body. Maybe he is made to activate the change (drink the potion, step into the machine, etc) knowing full well what his fate will be. Perhaps, having been changed, he must now prepare himself (getting dressed, putting on makeup, going shopping or picking out his own new outfits, etc). And, of course, being me I especially find it adds spice when he knows that he'll end up sucking cock and getting fucked, and SHE will have to deliberately engage in that, as well.
This actually goes back to my very first transformation/transgender fantasy. My very first "story" was about having to knowingly walk into a machine, designed to transform the user. The story went something like this: There would be three guys, the scientists who built the machine. They were doing tests on the capabilities of it. They would draw lots (or use some random choice system), and (usually because the other two cheated some how) one would get selected. He'd enter the chamber, and the machine would begin it's work. Usually it would alter him one bit at a time. Once complete, he, now a she, would saunter out. And there, discover that his two fellows had tricked him. Instead of setting the machine for a temporary change, they had done a permanent one. And they deleted his old profile, so that he could never go back. He is now left at their mercy...
For another example, one of my earlier captions used this theme heavily. You can find it here:

Weekly Comic 2/22/13
A little bit late, but I was having trouble with the inspiration here. I knew I wanted to use this comic, I'm in a Lightning Lady kind of mood right now. How I wish I had a body like hers... But I digress. Here is this week's comic. It ended up being a bit wordier than I like, but I just couldn't really trim it down. Also, I'm not sure the punchline came out as strong as I had originally planned. Still, better than nothing I guess.
Today's Comic comes from Evil Inc. (www.evil-comic.com) (yes, I use this one a lot. What can I say, I love the art, and the writing is great).

Ok, I can't keep quiet anymore. I just can't do it.
I keep seeing the "anti-rape techniques" list being passed around on facebook and the like. And I have to speak up. Yes, some of it is good. But I HAVE to point out some important corrections.
First. Pepper spray will not keep you safe. Do NOT think that owning pepper spray will prevent you from being attacked. Pepper spray is NOT NEARLY AS DEBILITATING OR EFFECTIVE AS ADVERTISED. Unless it is sprayed directly in the eyes, it will have virtually no effect. It can be rendered harmless by blinking at the right moment. It is best used as a distraction, run while his eyes are closed. Yelling you have pepper spray is more of a deterrent than the actual spray, because it is attracting attention.
Second. Forget pressure points or fancy techniques. You WILL be scared, you WILL panic, and you WILL forget how to do them or how to do them properly. Unless you have significant training under a competent instructor, don't try anything special. NEVER TRY ANYTHING YOU SAW IN A MOVIE! Instead, go for the eyes. Scratch, claw, bite, whatever you can. The eyes are extremely sensitive. But more importantly, even if you don't land a hit, he Will have to protect them, and that gives you a chance to get away.
Third. Yes, the testicles are a sensitive area. However, EVERY MAN ALIVE KNOWS THIS. Striking for the testicles is the single most advised technique. Attackers Will be expecting this. If you are given the opportunity to do so, go ahead. It is painful, and can give you an opportunity to escape. But don't think this is the only move you'll need to survive. Most of the time it will not work.
Fourth. Shoes. High heels look great, but you can not run in them. However, if you wish to wear them, choose ones that are well made of strong materials. A heel can and will penetrate even thick muscle with enough force. It is literally possible to stab someone to death with a high heeled shoe. Again, if you have not practiced kicks, DO NOT TRY THEM. You will only make things worse for yourself. Instead, stomp down as hard as you can. If possible, aim for just above the shoe on the shin or ankle. The weakest bone of the body is at the top of the foot, just past where the ankle meets the shin. A good stomp can crush it, and potentially cripple an attacker.
Fifth. Your priority when attacked is survival and escape. In That order. You are not there to defeat or capture an attacker. And it doesn't matter how you do it, so long as you do so. Scream, claw, throw dirt in his face. There is no such thing as cheating or undignified when it comes to survival. Once you have escaped, then you can get to the police and give them all you know. It is their job to catch these people. Let them do it.

So, it continues.
I Finally, got my determination from the State Board in. I only applied what, almost a year ago? Anyway, I finally get my response. I'm qualified to take the fundamentals, but don't have enough experience to take the full exam. I started in 2004, by the way. So now I can take half the exam, get my surveyor in training license, then I need to get even more experience and try to take the rest of the exam.
Gods, I'm so sick of this.

This one is from Courting Disaster (http://www.courting-disaster.com/archive/20120518.html)

Strong Potion
New caption for today. This one was actually supposed to just be something quick, just a short little thing. It actually ended up taking more time than I had planned, though, just getting the text to flow right and have the right feel to it. I kept having to add or adjust or switch to get it right. Hopefully you'll still enjoy it.

Weekly Comic 1/18/13
This is another one of those comics that I had to really cut the text down on to make it fit. I actually had a whole little story working up about how the gate guard didn't like the main character, and was using this as a way to get rid of him. The main character had to prove he'd completed his mission, but without being able to bring anyone else along to use the stolen item on, there would be know way to prove it was real...
This comic is taken from Slimy Thief. I long ago lost the link to it, I'm afraid, I'm not even sure it is still active. Also, at the time, it had free sample strips (like this one) but the full story was pay only. The concept was interesting and the artwork nicely done, but I, personally, did not feel it was worth the price they asked.

So what does it mean when you meet someone, confess to them that you find them very attractive and would like to get to know them better (and maybe even ask them out on a date), get told in return that they are interested in you, then they stop responding and their next post on facebook is a picture of a guy pulling a gun on cupid saying "don't even think about it" and the one after that is a picture with the text "I just want to disappear" on it?
I really do keep trying to live. But it is things like these that are exactly the reason I find it so hard to stay positive. Every time I get my hopes up, it gets taken away from me. I'm really not just sitting around going "woe is my, why won't an amazing and attractive person fall out of the sky in my lap and declare their undying love for me?" I go out, I meet people, I try to make friends. I'm just not wanted.
Guess there is another person on the List

I've been watching Transformers Prime recently, and I have to say I am really enjoying it. It is well written, with good characters and stories and lots of good lines.
But the reason I mention it here, is that in one of the later episodes one of the human villains is 'resurrected' by essentially transferring his mind into the body of a dead transformer. I won't go in to the technical details, but essentially it was a body swap, only not between two humans. So I can't help but wonder, what if, instead of being a male decepticon body, he had instead been swapped into Arcee, the FEMALE autobot?

Coming Down
So, I don't think I mentioned this, but last weekend I went to a cosplay event. This was not a convention, just a planned event. I'm not going to go into details right now, but it is enough to know that I was there.
I had a good time. I know it sounds like bragging, but I was likely the most popular one there. My costume was probably the most elaborate out there (this may be because some of those who came were either not as skilled, or simply because of the nature of this event some chose to wear more simple attire). I got a lot of people complimenting me, and several cosplayers told me I was their favorite there. And, despite having over fifty of us present, I was the only one to get my photo taken by "normal" people not part of the event. So I was pretty well received.
Despite that, though, I was a bit on the outside. Everyone else came with at least one other person they knew, whereas I did not. I was alone, so I wasn't in the existing social circles and cliques. Another thing is that the average age was about ten years younger than me. Pretty sure I was the oldest one there, not counting parents dropping off people. When I ordered a drink at dinner everyone was like "you're over 21?!"
As much as I love cosplaying, it is painful for me too. For one moment, everyone loves me. Then that moment ends. All those people who thought I was awesome, who wanted to hug me or who wanted hang out with me, well they wouldn't come within ten feet of me when I'm not in costume. When I'm just being me, none of them would want anything to with me.
I'm not just being depressing or fatalistic. I've seen it happen countless times. One time, at a convention, I met this one person who was Really in to me. They were all over me, literally. Were I the type, I could have probably had them arrested for harrassment. I enjoyed it, I don't get a lot of positive attention, and even less physical affection. So having them literally hanging on me felt nice. The next day, I was out of costume and ran into that person. They couldn't get away from me fast enough. And it is not an isolated incident either. It happens a lot. This New Years, when we were saying goodbye, our hostess hugged everyone goodbye. Well, everyone except for me. Skipped right past me, didn't want to touch me. And she is a friend.
The past six years, I at least had an anchor. I had my S.O. so when the hurt was too much I could at least remember that Someone liked me. But I don't have that any more. And again, it isn't like I just sit around feeling sorry for myself. I go out, I try to meet people. As I mentioned, I just went to this event. Lots of attractive people who share my love of cosplay. Many of them liked my character, none of them like me. I've tried online dating. So far, I've sent out dozens of messages. My responses have been 1 person who went creepy stalker when I tried to be nice to them. Oh, and 1 person took the time to make snide comments about my looks. Yep, someone actually went through the trouble to call me ugly. So I do try. When I go out, I'm usually the center of attention, the life of the party. I make everyone laugh, I can tell all kinds of jokes and stories about all the crazy adventures I've had in my life. And I've had a lot of those. I've gotten to see and do things most people never will. Ever get to go in to the staff only section of the Royal Armory in Leeds, and there get to have an up close look at Henry the Eights personal rifle (which was made of ivory and silver)? Not too many people can say that, but I can. That's a true story right there, and that isn't even one of the craziest things I've done. Did I mention that I'm a paid model? It's true. I modeled for a painting once. I also modeled for two statues, one of which may also have been used to make a figurine. Yes, it is possible there are "action figures" of me out there somewhere. It sounds like I'm making this stuff up, but really it is true. So I'm not just sitting at home going woe is me. I get out there. I meet people. I socialize. I try.

Restructured
Just a quickie for today, not much to this one. I found this image a while ago, and I have always found it absolutely captivating. It's so sexy and erotic, but she's got this quizzical look on her face. Like she is asking, "wait, what is going on here?" I had several ideas for this one, but I finally settled on this one. I may revisit it again, though.
I would love to be her in this picture. She's just so sexy...

The Danger's of Drinking Too Much
Hey, look at that, a caption!
Now, I know this is a bit rough, but I did say I would try to do at least some new work while on my laptop. This one has been kicking around in my head for a while, and I finally managed to find that last elusive piece I needed to make it work.
Some of you may have noticed that there is a read more link below the caption. That's because I don't want to spoil the story on this one, but after you read it you may be interested in learning the "history" of this caption. There is a bit of a story behind this one. So if you liked it and want to know more, click the link.
Also, it's the return of my (in)famous Witch Doctor!

PC update:
my desktop is still non-functional. I installed the new video card, and at first that seemed to fix the problem. Right off the bat, just putting the card in seemed to take care of the problem. However, when I installed the drivers for it, the system required a reboot. Upon doing so, the system crashed. Now it has developed a bunch of new problems. I put in a request for tech support, but who knows how long it will take to get back to me and if they can even fix it. In the meantime, I'm still on the laptop. I'm going to try and start captioning again, though they may be a bit rough since all my tools and most of my supplies are on the desktop. We'll see what happens.

Weekly Comic 1/4/13
First comic of the new year.
Ok, so it has been a while since I last updated here, for various reasons. So I decided to see if I could make up something to put up. I wanted to do a New Year's themed caption, but my supplies are on my desktop, which is still down. Instead, I did this one on my laptop, so it is a bit rough but I hope you still enjoy it.

I wanted to do a New Year's themed caption, but my supplies are on my desktop, which is still down. Instead, I did this one on my laptop, so it is a bit rough but I hope you still enjoy it.

Bit of a two part update today.
First, on news of my desktop (and therefor my captioning ability). I have gotten my new video card in, but I have not yet had a chance to install it. For outside reasons, I was feeling frustrated today and decided it would not be a good time to try. Hopefully it will go easily and fix the trouble, but only time will tell.
Second, I have gotten a new formspring question, which I will answer now.
so i see you go to otakon i went back in 08 and been trying to get back ever since good times i wanna do a crossplay but cant think of anything any ideas
A favorite topic of mine, cosplay and conventions. Prepare for a long winded response. To start off with, I do hope you manage to get back to Otakon eventually. Perhaps even next year, where I will be debuting a new costume of my own. To answer your question, however, is going to be a bit more tricky. Since I don't know anything about you, not even if you are doing a male to female crossplay or a female to male, I can't offer you any specific ideas. I can, however, offer you some basic thoughts that will hopefully help you find something.
Choosing a costume is, of course, a matter of personal preference. You have to like the character, like their style, and be able to make (or buy it, if you prefer). I, also, always try to suit body type. Don't get me wrong, I don't feel that people of certain body types shouldn't be allowed to cosplay. But I'm OCD about details for my cosplays, and it bothers me when something is obviously wrong. It's the same as if someone wore the wrong shoes. But that is just me.
As for actually making the costume and the gender alteration, I can offer you some very good websites for supplies, depending on what you are making. I have helped friends with both male to female and female to male costumes, so I have resources for each.
Another possibility you may want to look into is a subtype of cosplay called Kigurumi. In Kigurumi, the player wears a special mask and a skin tone body suit to completely become the character. The advantages of Kigurumi is that 1. it offers complete annonominity. You don't speak, you don't take off your mask, so know one ever knows who you really are. 2. it provides a great many more options. You can wear street clothes and still be recognized as cosplaying. You can do non-human characters easily. You can even do original designed characters, you need not stick to existing ones. The downside, though, is that Kigurumi can be very expensive to get in to. A fully custom made mask can easily run up to a thousand dollars or more. You can reduce the cost by doing some or all of the work yourself, but it can be very labor intensive. When I helped my friend make a mask from a blank (this is a mask that is sold directly from the mold, no finishing work done), it took well over 50 hours of work to finish. The other issue is that, while in Kigurumi, your sight and communication ability is very limited, so it generally requires that you have someone you trust with you to help. However, it can be quite fun, and it is a good chance to really lose yourself in the character.
I hope that this helped. If anyone has any specific questions or would like more information, don't hesitate to ask. I'm always willing to help out with costume making.
