So I started watching Justice League today, and it got me in the mood for my old TG superhero campaign.  I thought I'd see about possibly resurrecting it.

I have two basic ways of doing it.  One, is to use the Mutants and Masterminds rule book, and create a proper role playing campaign.  The other, simpler, version is to use an AMBER system with pre-existing superheroes.  For those not familiar, an AMBER style game is one with no dice rolls or similar device.  The players choose what they wish to do, and the game master makes a determination of whether or not it is possible.  While I've never been overly fond of such systems, they are much more convenient for online play.

I haven't thought into it too much, but the basic premise would be
1. (For the mutants and masterminds campaign) each player would start as male (or female, if someone wishes to go that route), but would in the course of receiving their power be transformed into the opposite sex.  Each player would come up with their own backstory, as well as design their own powers and character based on the rules of Mutants and Masterminds.  The system is fairly diverse, and can create a version of just about any hero you could name.  It also includes some helpful templates for getting started.

Or

2. (For the AMBER system) Each player would start as male.  The setting would be modern day, real world Earth.  However, due to some threat of some sort, certain people are chosen by a "higher being" of some sort to become champions and protectors.  They are given the power to take on the form of a fictional character, complete with all abilities.  Thus, each player during character creation will choose which character the "higher being" chooses for them to become.  However, the "higher being" is kind of a perv, and therefor only chooses sexy female forms for the heroes.  By using pre-existing forms, their abilities and weaknesses are already established, so an AMBER system should be viable.

Of course, being me, both of these campaigns would end up being X-rated.  If we can get enough players, I would be willing to set up a game.  What's more, is that it can be set up as a "mission based" system, instead of a "story based" system.  Meaning that instead of all players following one story line throughout the entire campaign, it is instead broken up into smaller arcs.  Thus, if you won't be around, you can have your character not take part in a mission and the game does not suffer.  It also means that players can come up with their own missions, and be allowed to run them as acting game masters.  Keeps game play fresh and innovative.  In short, think of it in terms of tv shows.  Some shows have one single story that all episodes work towards.  But others have individual plots for each episode, with only loose connections between them.  Miss one episode and you won't be lost when the next one starts.

Any thoughts?  Any interest at all?

  2. I'm not sure if or when I'd be able to play (and frankly I've never played a x rated rpg...) but I like the idea on paper.

what I'd really like to do some point if a gm had their hearts set on a sexual game would be a modified game of Maid (possibly a tg based one) still, color me intrigued

  3. I'm in, I even have a few ideas. The Wonder Woman theme is easy enough and so is super girl ( put on tiara at and piece of kryptonite). Shazaam is higher power related. Zatanna ark for magic. Possibly raven and star fire angles as well. What do ya think?
