Weekly Comic 10/26/12

Alright, so I had said earlier that this week's comic had inspired me.  Well here it is, for those of you who were waiting for it.  Since this weekend is the Halloween party, I decided to make something Halloween related.

This week's comic does not come from an online comic, so I can not provide a link to where you might read it.  In fact, I don't even know who the artist is, as I got it from an image collection site.  If anyone knows who the artist is and where I might find their work, I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know.  Not only does it mean I could give them proper credit, it also has benefits for you as well.  When I feel inspired I make captions, so more inspiration means you get more captions.

Without further ado, here is today's comic.  As always, I'd appreciate any feedback and comments, lets me know I'm not wasting my time making these.

New Story Snippet

So this is a story idea that has been kicking around in my head for some time.  I thought about trying to develop it more, but never really knew where to go with it.  I decided to write up what I did have and make it in to one of my snippets.  As always, people are welcome to expand upon or take in new directions what I have here, just so long as you give proper credit and make sure you tell me where it is so I can enjoy it for myself as well.

*edit* ok, so this one kind of ended up a lot longer than I had originally planned when I started writing.  It still doesn't have a beginning or a true ending, so it can't be called a complete story.  But it is quite long for one scene.  I actually left out some parts I was thinking about putting in, both to cut down and because it didn't flow as well.  Hopefully you will all enjoy, and please take the time to leave me some feedback.  Comments always help me to improve, and letting Any artist know their work is appreciated can help to keep them from getting discouraged.

Convention Volunteer

So, this is another one of those that has been kicking around in my head for a while, but I could never quite get right.  Well, today I was inspired.  Actually, I was inspired by what will be Friday's weekly comic (you'll have to wait till then to see it!).  But, while inspired, I also hopped in the shower for a bit.  A good warm shower is where I do my best thinking (go ahead, picture it, you know you want to).  While there, I was able to put together most of what was missing from this caption.  I sat down, wrote out the rest and filled it in as I wrote.  And this is what I came up with.  Of course, now I'm going to be late for work, so I hope you all appreciate it.

Dream

So last night I had a dream that was pretty interesting.  Ok, actually I had two dreams last night, but only the first one is really relevant.  It may one day inspire me (or perhaps others) to turn it in to a story, but I wanted to write it down before I forgot it.

As an aside, you should know that I watched Captain America on netflix last night before I went to bed.  Probably what inspired it, at least in part.

Body Work

I haven't posted this one before because I'm not really happy with it.  I had the idea, but then when I tried to work it up, it just didn't flow right.  I couldn't get it to end the way I wanted to and still feel complete.  But, I haven't been able to come up with anything better, so here it is:

The transformation is a bit more implied in this one, so it is a bit more subtle.  I couldn't find a way to be more direct about it and still end it on the same note.
