Catching Up

Ok, so I know that many people have been patiently waiting for me to answer some of my formspring questions.  I figured now would be a good time to do so.  Rather than flood the blog with a long list of each one, I'm going to go back and answer all of the questions in one big go.  So, if you asked me something and have yet to receive an answer, look within.

I'm curious about your Weregeek RPG. Did you find it or did you come up with it yourself?

Would you be willing to fill us in on this Weregeek RPG that you had mentioned before? 

Since these are more or less the same question, I'll answer them together.  First off, its not a Weregeek RPG per se, since it is not meant to be set in that world or work by the rules of the comic.  Rather, it was Weregeek that gave me the idea in the first place.  That is often how I work, something will inspire me, and I'll take someone else's idea and run with it in a different direction.  In this case, I like the idea that the characters seemingly gain "powers" from their geekdom.  In the RPG I was developing, characters would develop their powers based on what they were passionate about.  So if someone was really passionate about say, baseball, they would get baseball based powers.  At the moment I don't have any numbers or hard rules, but I do have a basic background.  I have even started a story set in that world.  Unfortunately, I lost my inspiration when I kept getting stuck on it.  But, if it comes back I'll continue writing it.

Are you planning to come back? hope so! 

Well, as you can see, I am indeed trying to come back.  I hope I succeed this time, though I may come and go for a while.

Heartbroken I really can't offer any advice, but I'm so sorry to hear. 

Thank you.  Its been a really tough time for me.  We've been together for such a long time, it really hurts to think we might not be able to make it last.  Several times now I've actually began planning to propose, though each time something happened that made me put it off.  But now I don't know what is going to happen, if we can make it.  

Hi Angel, what is your newlyfound mutant power? Laser Beams? Ice Powers? Regeneration? 

I'm guessing this is in response to my recent post about my heterochromia.  Guess having weird colored eyes isn't much of a power.  If I were to pick though, I think I would take Mystique's ability.  I could do without the blue skin, but the ability to become anyone at any time is something I just couldn't pass up.  Sure laser beams might be cool, but to be able to look in the mirror and see whoever I wanted is just too great.
