Weekly Captioned Comic 9/7/12

Ok, so I know this one is going up late.  To be honest, I almost didn't have one at all this week.  I haven't been in a good place lately, so I just haven't been able to make any captions.  This one was a last minute idea that I was able to put together.  I'm not completely satisfied with it, but it was the best I could do.

The comic for today was taken from a manga Tenjo Tenge (sometimes spelled Tenjho or Tenjou).  There is no website for it, but it is available in stores.  Search online if you are interested in reading it.  Be warned, it is not safe for work viewing.

One of the things I'm not satisfied with in this case is the background of the Heaven's Blossoming Technique. I actually had a reason why it was created and why it makes the user into a woman.  I wanted to work that in to the story, but with the limited amount of space I had, I simply couldn't do it.  The idea was that it was a technique originally created by a clan of female warriors.  It was a way of manipulating their energy to magnify their Yin (which is the feminine) chi and use it to increase their fighting capability.  With the added influx of Yin energy, their bodies would become more feminine, but by using the increased internal energy they would become stronger and more powerful.  The main character in this mini comic is the first man to be taught the technique.  However, since it was designed to work on Yin energy, the influx of chi completely feminizes his body.  So he gains great power and a nearly invincible body, but it is a Female body instead of a male one.  By sacrificing his manhood, he becomes nearly unbeatable in combat.  And, the transformation effect lasts even after he stops using the technique.  The more Yin power he uses while fighting, the longer he stays female afterwards.  And there may just be some other side effects to using female energy as a source of power as well...

I'm not sure if I'll ever do anything with this idea beyond the comic you see here.  Yes, I could probably write up a story, if I were so inclined.  I'm not sure if I have the inspiration or not, however.
