Special Announcement

I've been gone for a while, but I want to take this moment to share something with you all.

First, let me say that there are no captions, no stories, nothing of the sort in this post.  For those of you who come here for such things, I thank you and ask you to be patient.  More will come.  But if you are only interested in that part of this blog, then please skip this post.  I won't be offended.  The rest of you, read on.

I want to take a moment and share something with all of you.  Specifically this:

This is my fireplace.

Not my parent's fireplace.  Not my roommate's.  But mine.  This past weekend I put a bid in on a small home.  By the end of the day I had a contract.

I am now in the process of all the legal work involved in closing, followed by moving.  It will be taking up a lot of my time, unfortunately.  However, once done, I will have a great deal more time and less worries.  Which means more captions and stories.

Now, I know that people have left me comments and formspring questions.  I promise that I Will answer them in time.  But I hope you all understand that this needs to take precedence in my life.  Its a big step for me, and something I've been dreaming of my whole life.

The house is a little bit farther away than I wanted, but not enough to be a problem.  It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms.  The master bathroom has its own seperate full sized soaking tub (something which has great appeal to me, I love soaking in a nice hot tub.  Go ahead, imagine it, I know you want to.) as well as a shower.  The secondary bathroom has a combination tub and shower in it.  It has a fireplace, a lovely kitchen, a laundry room, and a little dining nook with a bay window.  Outside it has a shed with electric, a two car driveway, and it overlooks a lake.  I'm told there is bass in the lake, but I don't fish much really.  All of the appliances have been replaced recently, as have the roof and all the windows, and the home comes with a one year warranty from the realty company.  Its been repainted and recarpeted.  And the seller wants to leave a lot of the furniture, so it will be largely furnished for me already.  I got all of that for less than 80k.

And now, I'll finally have a home of my own.

  1. Angel that is so GREAT! I can't imagine how good that must feel to be having your own home. Not a rental, and not a roomie's place... but your own home!

I'm not to big of a person to say that I'm quite jealous, but that feeling is far suprassed by me feeling giddy for you!
