I've found that one of the keys to a good "oblivious" caption is having logical justifications for everything, no matter how illogical they might seem to an outsider. As long as the victim can come up with a reason that doesn't violate their view of themselves as a man, they never even notice the changes. But if something comes up that they can't justify...
I love it. I like how everything is 'explained away'.... except for what he does at work.
