Weekly Captioned Comic 7/20/12 + Important Information

I know that this week's comic is going up a bit early, since I normally do them on Friday, but there is a reason for it.


So, as some of you may know, Otakon is coming up just next week.  Because of that, for the next few days (and especially this coming weekend) I'll be fairly busy getting ready.  And next week, from Wednesday to Monday, I won't be on a computer at all.  Because of that, there likely won't be many updates until I get back and rest up.  The good news is that I'll have a convention report for you when I do, and photos to share, and maybe, just maybe, some new ideas.  If nothing else it will at least give me a chance to get away, have some fun, and recharge a bit.

The bad news is that, since I'll be away, there won't be any weekly captioned comic for next week.  But I don't want to just leave people hanging.  So I decided that I would do something a little bit special to make up for it with this week's.

This week's comic is unique in a lot of ways.  For starters, this is the biggest, most ambitious comic I've made yet, and the first to span multiple pages.  It actually took me around six hours to make this, all said and done.  Secondly, this is from a hentai manga instead of a webcomic.  So there is no website that I can point you to in order to read the original.  I can tell you that it is part of the "Love Love Lockhart" series by Raburebo, and it is available online if you search for it.  The fact that it was a manga to begin with is why you see some Japanese sound effects still floating around here and there, it was simply impossible to remove all of them.  It also means that the original was meant to be read from right to left.  For the convenience of my viewers who aren't used to that, I did mirror the image so that it is now read in the standard left to right format.  However, that may have caused some oddities or discrepencies here and there.

Hopefully you will all take the time to read and enjoy this.  I put a lot of effort into this one.  It is definitely not safe for work, but I think by now most of my readers come to expect that from me.

I do ask, though, that if you do read it to please leave me some feedback.  Whether it is a detailed technical manual on how to do better graphic manipulation, constructive criticism on grammar or writing, or even just a simple "I liked this" or "I didn't like it", your feedback is important.  It lets me know what people think, and whether or not it is worth it to try and do something this big again.  From this manga series alone I can already think of several more pages that could work, and at least one section that could make a good sweet/romantic multi page comic.  But if no one is going to enjoy it, I'd rather spend my time on other things, so your comments will direct where things go.
