The results were not good.
So, as you are all probably aware, Talia was to make her debut this weekend at Otakon. She did, there was no problems with that. She was out for half of friday and all of sunday, got a lot of attention.
Today I got the first round of photos from a friend, including some from Talia's time out. And I'm really depressed now that I've seen them. At the time, I really thought I looked better than that, I really thought I could do justice to her. But really, I was just fooling myself. No amount of costume magic was able to make me look good. All the prep work, all the care in choosing the right outfits to minimize my flaws was to no avail.
I'm honestly thinking of giving up on kigurumi. I was so excited, a chance to be someone else. But in the end I failed. Below are a few of the pictures I'm talking about. What do you all think?

i think they look very nice Angel. ^_^ I'm not sure what it is that you think is the problem. (in regards to how it holds up to other kigurumi costumes. ) But I think it looks very nice and looks like you had fun! ^_^ love that blue outfit!
ReplyDeleteAnd welcome back too! ^_^ I hope you can feel better about your experience.
Do you know who that shirtless guy is supposed to be?
Wow Angel, Talia looks great. She sure is an eye-catcher. And just like Jennifer said. it seems that you also had fun,or not? To me, all the hours spend to create Talia was worth every minute. Great outfits you chose. The blue outfit is my favorite as well.^_^.
